This blog post was prompted by recent activities in my O365 developer tenant. I noticed that I had not set the default time zone during site creation (see image below).

It’s easy to change the time zone through Site Settings > Regional Settings but, it’s even easier if you set it once for all new sites through the new SharePoint Admin center. Note: existing sites must be changed manually.
Listed below are the steps to set the default time zone during site creation:
- Go to the O365 Admin center

- “Show all” admin centers

- Click “SharePoint”

- Click “Settings”

- Click “Site creation”

- Set “Default time zone” as required and click “Save”. Note: if you don’t see this option, it simply has not hit your tenant yet.
